About
Lauren Pichon grew up writing stories and dreaming of publishing a book. In 2016, that dream became a reality when her first book, Messages From Maryam, was born. Messages From Maryam was loosely based on the real-life stories of the students in her Newcomer English class.
In 2019, Lauren released her second children's book, Otto the Otter Takes a Bath, which is set in Homer, Alaska. Lauren gathered her inspiration for this book on a family trip to Alaska in the summer of 2017, and it evolved to have characters modeled after her students.
Currently, Lauren works as an English as a Second Language teacher at a public school in Northern Virginia. When she isn't teaching or writing, Lauren enjoys traveling, hiking, playing with her dog, Oliver, and spending time with her family and friends.
